Practice doesn’t make perfect, but smarter practice will get you close. Rob Deer Baseball Camps are the only clinics taught by an instructor with experience as both a Major League player AND hitting coach. The exclusive value paired for Rob’s unique passion for the game make these camps and clinics uniquely valuable in taking the first step down the base path to improved baseball skills.
Rob Deer is an 11 year veteran of Major League Baseball, playing for the San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, and San Diego Padres, hitting more than 20 homeruns for 8 straight years from 1986 to 1993. His baseball coaching credentials include serving as Head of Minor League Hitting for the San Diego Padres (overseeing all players and hitting coaches in the Minor League system) and as the Assistant Hitting Coach for the Chicago Cubs.
Rob Deer camps are founded on the principle that a more correct and perfect swing will help every youth or adult player improve their hitting. Each camp is run with Rob’s hands-on instruction primarily teaching hitting (including situational batting and bunting) with additional emphasis on fielding and base running skills. Rob will individually work with each camper delivering the same personalized coaching techniques used to develop major and minor league players at the highest levels of baseball.
